Leadership Academy loves connecting children with nature! And there is no better place in Nashville than at Warner Park. Every day at Camp is filled with imaginative play, learning in the Nature Center, splashing in the creek, meeting local wildlife, and more! Leadership Academy Camp at Warner Park is a place where your child’s creativity and imagination can run wild!

We take time for children to play together in collaborative and imaginative ways.  The camp day is unstructured and unscheduled by design.  This allows the caring staff to take time for the children to play to get to know each other, learn to talk and listen to others, to have child-directed activities and to play as long as the children are engaged.  With this structure we can also work through conflicts to help children understand appropriate behavior, arming them with words and self control to handle conflict situations rather than resorting to anger, violence and meltdowns.

Leadership Academy Camp at Warner Park is one of the summer camps offered from Leadership Academy.

Let the Adventure begin!

We believe that every child needs time outdoors in nature to play in an imaginative way.

This kind of play increases creativity, confidence, social intelligence and grit.

Our staff facilitate outdoor play while focusing on safety and building friendships.

My daughter has been going to Camp Warner Park since its inaugural season. She has sampled other camps, but CWP is the only one she really wants to attend.

The leadership is amazing – very committed, professional, and organized. The counselors are in a different league than those we’ve found elsewhere; their energy and enthusiasm even at the end of those hot, humid summer days are impressive.

My son LOVED Camp Warner. He talked about it for weeks after, especially all the information at the learned from ‘the Snake Lady’

My 7-year-old has attended Camp Warner a couple of weeks the past two years, and he loves it! River Day is his favorite. He likes hanging out with the cool counselors. They have been excellent in dealing with any concerns and taken good care of him. He is happy, tired, hungry and dirty at the end of the camp day. Exactly how a summer day should end!

My son already asked to come again before the session even ended!

Leadership Academy Camp at Warner Park is Accredited!

Leadership Academy is delighted to that our camp at Warner Park has earned ACA-Accredited® Camp status! This is verification from the American Camp Association® that our camp, during a visit on July 19, 2016, complied with up to 290 industry-established health and safety standards, which are recognized by courts of law and government regulators as the standards of the camp industry.

Leadership Academy Camp at Warner Park recognizes that ACA camps set the standard for the industry. For us, it is a regular, independent health and safety audit of camp operations. For parents, the ACA-accredited camp sign symbolizes excellence and our accountability and ongoing commitment to the children we serve.

We are very proud of our accomplishments as a camp, and we hope you can see the benefits of our hard work to become ACA-accredited. If you have any questions about our status or the accreditation process, please email us. We’re happy to share the value of accreditation with you!

Fun And Safety — ACA Camps Set the Standard
ACA Accreditation means that the camp you are considering for your child cares enough to undergo a thorough (up to 290 standards) review of its operation — from staff qualifications and training to emergency management. American Camp Association® collaborates with experts from the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Red Cross, and other youth-serving agencies to assure that current practices at the camp reflect the most up-to-date, research-based standards in camp operation. Camps and ACA form a partnership that promotes summers of growth and fun in an environment committed to safety.

ACA helps accredited camps provide:

  • Healthy, developmentally appropriate activities and learning experiences
  • Discovery through experiential education
  • Caring, competent role models
  • Service to the community and the environment
  • Opportunities for leadership and personal growth
